Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. In the last decade she has been working in film and TV. She's received many awards, including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Born and grew up in New York New York. Bassett as well as her younger sister aged five, old, made the move from New York to St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the separated father. Bassett decided to be an actor after watching the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) with a major in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in 1980. The school she attended was the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
